Aon makes key appointments to the Board of Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) Ltd
GUERNSEY (11 June 2012) – Aon, (NYSE: AON) the leading global provider of risk management insurance and reinsurance brokerage is pleased to announce the recent appointments of John Rowson and Stuart Brown to the Board of Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) Limited, the largest captive and insurance management operation in Europe.

John has joined the team after three years working in Aon’s former head office in Chicago, prior to Aon’s head office move to London this year. In his new role he has responsibility for the White Rock companies in Guernsey, the world’s leading PCC and ICC group of companies. John also has responsibility for new business development for Aon Guernsey.

Stuart who has worked within Aon since 2005 joins the Guernsey office from Aon’s Gibraltar office, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer. During his time in Gibraltar Stuart directly managed captives, PCCs, open market commercial and life insurance companies as well as Gibraltar’s largest reinsurance company. Of the appointments Managing Director Paul Sykes commented, “I am very much looking forward to working with John and Stuart again. I have worked with them both previously and know that they are top class professionals. They will add to a very talented team we have built at Aon in Guernsey.

Captive and Insurance company management is an industry in which Guernsey is the leading jurisdiction in Europe, despite strong competition from Luxembourg, Ireland, Malta, Isle of Man and numerous others. At Aon our strategy is to preserve Aon’s position as the European market leader and the key to this is providing innovative and excellent service to create value for our clients. We can only do this by attracting and developing the best talent in the industry, which is what we have achieved by bringing John and Stuart to Guernsey.”

Mr Rowson added, “I’m delighted to return home to Guernsey, and excited at the possibilities my international experience brings to the insurance industry locally. I hope to generate a lot of economic benefit for the Island with Aon Guernsey.”
