PwC US Adds Actuary Leader to Define and Execute Modeling Strategies

Philadelphia, Feb. 8, 2012 PwC US today announced that Kuocheng "Joe" Chou has joined PwC's Actuarial and Insurance Management Solutions (AIMS) practice as a managing director.
 
In his new role, Chou will support the life actuarial practice, where he will apply his skills and experience in actuarial modeling to assist life insurance, annuity and other financial services firms more effectively respond to the changing regulatory and economic environment.  
 
Chou has more than 20 years of actuarial experience, and specializes in modeling, financial reporting, merger and acquisitions, asset liability projections and GAAP valuations and analysis. Most recently, he managed the Philadelphia and Boston offices of Ernst & Young's actuarial team, where he was responsible for actuarial modeling and global merger and acquisition projects.

Chou earned his Master of Science degree in quantitative business analysis from Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management science from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan. He served on several committees within the Society of Actuaries including, the International Section counsel, Committee on Financial Research and Risk Management Section International Committee.
