Willis Strengthens Global Captive Practice
New York, May 16, 2011 - Willis Group Holdings, the global insurance broker, today announced the appointment of Sean B. Rider as Managing Director, Sales and Consulting, Willis Global Captive Practice.
 
In this newly created role, Rider will be responsible for developing and executing global marketing strategies, captive consultancy offerings, and best in class consultancy procedures across Willis’ Global Captive Practice. He will also engage and coordinate with business units across the Willis platform to deliver Willis’ Captive expertise and offerings to existing clients and prospects. He will report to Les Boughner, Managing Director of Willis North America’s Captive Practice and Malcom Cutts-Watson, Managing Director of Willis’ International Captive Practice.
 
The Willis Global Captive Practice is a leading global captive manager servicing over 350clients in all major domiciles, and providing consulting services to clients from around the world.
 
Rider joined Willis in 2007 and previously served as Senior Captive Consultant for Willis North America’s Captive Consulting Practice.  He brings deep industry experience to the role and previously held leadership positions at HSBC Insurance Management and Discover Re.  He is based in New York and resides in Montclair, NJ. Rider serves as a Faculty member at the International Center for Captive Insurance Education and is a regular speaker at industry events.
